How often do you update Search Volume?

DataForSEO Keywords Data API is based on two data sources: Google Ads API and Bing Ads API. Accordingly, we update all data, including Search Volumes this API provides following the update cycles of Google and Bing Ads.

In the case of Google Ads, they generally update keyword data in the middle of a month. You can check if Google updated keyword data for the previous month using the Get Ads Status endpoint.

If you are interested in Bing, keyword data for the previous calendar month is usually available in up to 72 hours. For example, if you request keyword data on August 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, and data for July is not available yet, you will receive the data for June.

For both Google and Bing, the latest month for which keyword data is available will be indicated in the first “month” field inside the “monthly_searches” array, as in the example below.
