What’s new
We’ve added a new ai_overview_code_block_element to Google AI Mode SERP API. This new object represents code blocks displayed within Google AI Mode responses, including programming code and structured data formats such as JSON and Python.
Why it matters
Google AI Mode responses can include more than plain text, links, and references. With support for code blocks, you can now capture additional types of AI-generated answers without losing their structure.
This update helps you build more comprehensive AI search monitoring tools and workflows and accurately process code snippets returned by Google AI Mode.
