We recently bid farewell to the impressions_info
field, and now, it’s time to sunset impressions_etv
as well.
Why the change?
Since Google no longer provides data on impressions, we’ve removed impressions_info
from our API responses.
In line with this, the impressions_etv
metric, built on now-defunct impression data, has become obsolete. So, we’ve retired this field as part of our ongoing effort to reduce noise in databases and API responses and deliver cleaner, more reliable data.
Recommended alternatives
If you’ve been relying on impressions_etv
, here are two solid alternatives to keep your insights flowing:
➤ clickstream_etv
— built on real-world user behavior, this metric offers a reliable way to estimate monthly website traffic using aggregated clickstream data. It provides more accurate, behavior-based insights and is available across many of the same API endpoints.
➤ etv
— a tried-and-true metric that estimates website traffic based on a keyword’s search volume and click-through rate (CTR) coefficient. It’s a great option if you’re already familiar with traditional SEO data models. Learn more here.
