Introducing LLM Mentions API

Every response from AI platforms contributes to the story that’s shaping your brand’s online reputation. Today, we’re introducing a new product within our AI Optimization API suiteLLM Mentions API – designed to help you see and quantify the impact large language models have on your brand image.

And this launch is just the first step in our ambitious plan to build the largest AI mentions index in the industry.

What’s new

The LLM Mentions API brings a new layer of analytics, showing you exactly how large language models mention and reference your brand, products, and competitors. It provides structured data on mentions and citations collected from popular AI sources: Google’s AI Overview (all locations listed here) and ChatGPT (US only, model GPT-5).

This API includes five endpoints for comprehensive tracking and analysis:

The Search Mentions endpoint: retrieve detailed mention insights from AI platforms, including the full question and answer, the lists of related cited sources and non-cited results, AI search volume and monthly searches.

The Aggregated Metrics endpoint: understand the big picture, such as total impressions or most-cited domains for your target parameters, without reviewing each mention individually.

The Cross Aggregated Metrics endpoint: compare visibility of multiple brands, products, or competitors side by side in a single request.

The Top Domains endpoint: identify which domains are most frequently cited in AI-generated outputs for your target brands or products.

The Top Pages endpoint: similarly, provides insights for the specified target keywords and/or domains, but grouped by the most frequently mentioned pages.

Together, these endpoints give you a complete visibility map of your brand in AI search — something that traditional tools can’t capture.

How the LLM Mentions API is priced

Access to the LLM Mentions endpoints is provided based on a minimum monthly commitment. You need to top up your account by at least $100 every month to use it. But this isn’t an access fee: the money stays in your account balance and can be spent on any DataForSEO API, including the LLM Mentions itself. The commitment helps us allocate resources efficiently and ensure predictable costs and stable performance.

The pricing of LLM Mentions API is based on a pay-as-you-go model, with a charge per API request ($0.1) and per each retrieved data row ($0.001). See LLM Mentions API pricing for full details.
