We’ve improved the way Google AI Overview data is collected across our Google SERP datasets. Now our system can retrieve asynchronous AIOs, providing broader and more accurate coverage throughout both our Google Databases and relevant Google endpoints in the DataForSEO Labs API.
What’s new
Previously, our system captured data only for those AIOs that were already cached within the Google results pages. However, Google frequently serves AI Overviews asynchronously. This means they are not immediately available in the HTML content when the search results are first loaded.
We have now implemented an updated logic that ensures AIO is fetched and included in the data and relevant metrics you receive, even when it is not directly available in the initial HTML of the search results.
The update applies to:
➤ Google SERP Databases (Advanced, Historical) and Unified Search Databases
➤ Google endpoints within DataForSEO Labs API that provide serp_info and similar SERP-related fields, including:
- Keyword Overview
- Page Intersection
- Domain Intersection
- Ranked Keywords
- Top Searches
- Keywords for Categories
- Keyword Ideas
- Keyword Suggestions
- Related Keywords
- Keywords for Site
- Historical SERPs
Why it matters
This improvement ensures more comprehensive data and more reliable insights across your workflows that involve our Google Databases or DataForSEO Labs API.
Most importantly, no action is required on your side. The expanded asynchronous AIO support is now fully active and applied automatically. Please note that to obtain this data in the database format, you may need to purchase an updated dataset. We offer updates at a discounted rate.
You can explore how Google AIO data is reflected across relevant endpoints and databases in our documentation.
