We’re excited to announce the release of the updated LLM Mentions API within our AI Optimization API suite. With improved API performance, new reporting options, historical data, and dedicated Lite endpoint versions, the updated LLM Mentions API makes it easier to monitor how your brand, products and competitors are mentioned or cited in AI tools.
What’s new
The updated version brings several important changes to the LLM Mentions API. First, it offers several endpoints with familiar functionality from the previous API version:
Aggregated Metrics → now Target Metrics is designed to help you analyze visibility metrics for a specific target.
Cross Aggregated Metrics → now Multi-Target Metrics, allows you to compare performance across multiple targets.
Top Pages and Top Domains have become Top Mentioned Pages and Top Mentioned Domains.
The update also introduces new endpoints:
- Top Mentioned Brands for identifying brands that are cited or mentioned most.
- Top Mentioned Brand Categories for analyzing brand visibility by category.
- Historical data for accessing past statistics on LLM mentions and citations.
- Timeseries Delta for comparing visibility changes between specific periods.
- Timeseries New-Lost for detecting newly gained and lost mentions and their AI SV.

In addition, the following endpoints are now available in Lite version that offers a faster and easier way to retrieve AI search performance insights:
- Target Metrics Lite,
- Top Mentioned Pages Lite,
- Top Mentioned Domains Lite,
- Top Mentioned Brands Lite,
- Top Mentioned Brand Categories Lite.
Note: existing endpoints remain accessible, so current LLM Mentions API users do not need to migrate immediately or make changes to their existing workflows. You can continue using the previous API version while adopting the updated endpoints when it works for your team. The current endpoint paths (e.g. search/live) will continue to be supported for the foreseeable future (no deprecation date is set).
How it works & what it costs
The LLM Mentions API helps you collect structured data on how your target domains or keywords perform in AI responses. You can analyze mentions or citations of specific domains, pages, or categories, compare multiple brands or products, identify top-mentioned entities, and monitor how visibility changes over time.
The API responses are delivered in structured JSON format, making the data easy to integrate into your dashboards, internal analytics systems, and automated reporting workflows. We also support a wide range of ready-made integrations you can use.
And the part you’ll definitely like most.
Since our recent pricing update, you no longer have to pay a minimum monthly commitment to gain access to this API. It’s completely pay-as-you-go! The cost starts from just $1.1 per 1,000 data rows.
