The DataForSEO Clickstream Data API is our proprietary source of keyword search volume, based on clickstream data – public information collected when a user navigates the internet. The API’s endpoints support only the Live data retrieval method. For using the Global Search Volume and DataForSEO Search Volume endpoints, you are billed only for setting a task. If you use Bulk Clickstream search volume, you are billed both for setting a task and the number of results retrieved.

FAQ
Questions about Clickstream Data API
How do you calculate clickstream-based metrics?
Our algorithm is based on refined clickstream data from reliable providers. Using special multipliers derived from multiple factors, we turn raw clickstream data into actionable keyword metrics. This makes the API a reliable alternative to search volume from Google Ads. You can learn more about the calculation in this Help Center article.
Why is the Standard data retrieval method not available for the Clickstream Data API?
All of the Clickstream Data API endpoints access data from our proprietary databases, making data retrieval nearly instantaneous. Thus, there is no need to make separate POST and GET requests.
How is the price for the Bulk Clickstream Search Volume endpoint calculated?
The Bulk Clickstream Search Volume endpoint is billed for setting a task and for each item in the response. The number of keywords you can get in response is limited to 1,000, so you will have to make 1,000 requests in order to obtain 1M keywords and related data.
Given that the price for setting a task is $0.012 and the price per each item is $0.00012, the price for 1M keywords is calculated as follows:
1,000 × 0.012 + 1,000,000 × 0.00012 = $132
How is the price for the Global Search Volume and DataForSEO Search Volume endpoints calculated?
These two endpoints are billed only for setting a task, no matter how many keywords you receive in response. Since you can specify up to 1,000 keywords in a single task, you will have to make 1,000 requests in order to obtain data for 1M keywords.
Given that the price for setting a task is $0.18, the price for 1M keywords is calculated as follows:
1,000 × 0.18 = $180
