Google Finance SERP API delivers data from Google Finance: market overviews, indices and stock prices, company performance, and financial news. It covers four functions: Explore (market trends, indices, and news for a selected location), Markets (market category data), Quote (detailed data for a specific stock ticker, including price history over a selected time window), and Ticker Search (find the right ticker by company or keyword). All functions are priced per request at the standard SERP base rates, with two exceptions that double the price (see the multipliers table below). Choose between three execution modes (Standard queue, Priority queue, and Live) depending on how quickly you need the data.

FAQ
Questions about Google Finance SERP API
How much does Google Finance SERP API cost?
All four functions — Explore, Markets, Quote, and Ticker Search — are billed per request at the standard SERP base rates: $0.0006 in the Standard queue, $0.0012 in the Priority queue, and $0.002 in Live mode. That is $0.60, $1.20, and $2.00 per 1,000 requests respectively. Two optional settings double the price — see the relevant FAQ answer below.
Which parameters increase the price?
Two, both doubling the price of the request: (1) In Finance Explore, selecting the news section for local market or world market news costs 2x the base price. (2) In Finance Quote, selecting a historical time window for the price chart — 5 days, 1 month, 6 months, year-to-date, 1 year, 5 years, or max — costs 2x the base price. Everything else is included in the base price.
How is the total cost of a task calculated?
Start from the base price of your chosen mode, then apply x2 if one of the multiplier settings above is used. Examples: a Live mode Quote request with a 1-year time window costs 2 × $0.002 = $0.004. A Standard queue Explore request with world market news costs 2 × $0.0006 = $0.0012.
What does each function return?
Explore returns the “Explore” tab of Google Finance for the selected location — market trends, indices, and financial news. Markets returns market category data. Quote returns detailed data for a specific ticker — current price, price changes, and the price history over the selected window. Ticker Search finds tickers by company name or keyword, so you know which ticker to use in Quote.
Which mode should I choose — Standard, Priority, or Live?
It’s a trade-off between speed and price. Live mode returns real-time results within ~6 seconds on average and suits price-monitoring applications. The Priority queue delivers results in about a minute at 60% of the Live price. The Standard queue is the most economical, averaging ~5 minutes with a target turnaround of 45 minutes — well suited to batch and scheduled jobs. The choice is made per task, and you can mix modes freely.
Do any other parameters affect the price?
No. The ticker or search keyword, location, language, and the choice between structured data and raw HTML results are all included in the base price. Retrieving the results of a queued task is also free; you only pay when the task is set.
